Battle of the Bands was created to celebrate, support, and recognize the excellence of black college marching bands and the unique academic experience offered by Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). The invitational showcase features musical performances from 8 HBCU marching bands. At this event fieldxers were placed in guest services and registration roles which were key in ensuring guests had positive experiences at the Battle of the Bands event.
- Guest Services: taking care of the customers inside the venue and leading bands to their seating for pre-event as well as accommodating to needs throughout the event.
- Registration roles: check-ins and first impressions for the bands as they arrived on site.
Lillie Pearl says that “The excitement upon my teams face while the band performs was priceless. My whole team did a marvelous job making sure each team stayed hydrated and energized throughout the event.”
